Godflesh @ Henry Fonda Theatre 4/22/14 If you don't know me, you might not know my deep rooted love for GODFLESH. 20+ years ago I went to see Godflesh and Skinny Puppy at the Hollywood Palladium, I am a Skinny Puppy fan but I was there for Godflesh. I was just as excited to see them this time around too. They were perfect. I know a lot of people don't like them because its noisey or that they use a drum machine... doesn't bother me one bit. Fun Fact - outside a Jesu concert years ago a girl was talking about how much she loves Justin and all his bands. I said something about Godflesh and she gave me the most disgusted face... "ugh I don't like them!" Lawrence Arms @ El Rey Theatre 2/16/14 Lawrence Arms have been a long time favorite of mine. After the last 7" and their hiatus I didn't think it I was going to feel the same way about the band. Nope I still love them. Metropole  is a great album, they remind me more of Knapsack on this record than anything else. Fun times... Good Riddance @ Whiskey A Go Go I left the art show I was at (WAR Records - pop up record store/art gallery) to go see Take Offense. Of course I stayed for Good Riddance. I was a fan of theirs ever since I saw them back in the day at the Showcase Theater. Oddly enough it might have been with Strife who were the same people putting on the art show.
