Eddie Colla @ Hold Up Art 9/8/12 Epilogue with Eddie Colla, D Young V and Hugh Leeman at Hold Up Art in Downtown Los Angeles. This was the opening night and I got there before they closed. I love this place, always good shows and they're very friendly. They are the same people who turned me onto Eddie Colla in the first place when I went to a show about a year and a half ago.  Eddie Colla Eddie Colla  Eddie Colla  Eddie Colla  D Young V  D Young V  D Young V Hugh Leeman  Hugh Leeman   Hugh Leeman  Eddie Colla ,  photos by Dan Rawe Photography on Flickr.

Hi-Graff @ Hold Up Art May 2011 While I was down the block checking out Art in the Streets @ MOCA Geffen a friend reminded me that a mutual friend of ours, Eyeone, was in a gallery show around the corner. Hold Up Art is a cool stop in Little Tokyo. I've already been there for a handful of shows within the last 6 months.  So I knew exactly where to go. Besides Eyeone and Cache who both have pieces that are out on the street there was quite a few other artist on display. Codak, Defer, Slick, Cyrcle and Axis plus many more... this one is free too so GO already! EYEONE CACHE Rick Ordonez, Axis, NICNAK Spurn, Codak, Kym CBS Vyal, Defer, Slick Cyrcle and Teal Alec,  Free Humanity,  Haculia, Chad Muska Rest of the pics are up for your enjoyment on FLICKR!

Saturday, Feb 5th, in downtown L.A. at Hold Up Art was another art show for me to see. This was the one year anniversary of the gallery. The collection promoted highlights of  the past and near future artists that will be shown at the gallery in the coming months.  I was sold on the idea on two artist alone - Sonny Kay and Eye One.  It was a strong opening night, there were a few paintings I wasn't able to get a picture of due to crowding. I wanted to take a few pictures of the artist I liked but only ended up getting Eye One. Asylum was there but I lost him in the festivities. Sonny Kay and Jeff Jordan teamed up for Parallel Universes at Hold Up Art in little Tokyo. The exhibit runs through December 5th and is free. I missed the opening last Saturday which I heard was a blast. Sonny Kay, if you do not know already, was the singer of VSS/Millions of Dead Comps and the guy behind GSL records.
