Samiam @ Alex's

I haven't seen Samiam in over 10 years. Been a fan since I first saw them at Pitzer College in Pomona playing with Jawbreaker. I know most people hate a band once they sign onto a major, honestly though, Clumsy is the best f- album! They started off strong last night but once the booze took hold it got a little sloppy. Still had a great time though... Samiam Samiam Samiam

Retox @ Waiting Room

Last Night in a downtown Los Angeles warehouse Retox played their first show. This is a new band featuring the members of The Locust, and The Festival Of Dead Deer. The short set was quick and sweet... upload the new ep for free -  threeoneg.com    Retox Retox Retox

Ignite @ Chain Reaction

I went to see Xibalba last Saturday and missed them once again. I'm glad I stuck around to see Ignite though, Joe Nelson come out and sang a song. Totally worth it! Jughead's Revenge also played. Ignite Ignite Jughead's Revenge

FYF Christmas Party in Pomona

I hesitated going to the show for a few reasons but I couldn't pass up the chance to see Dangers and Off! together. I was not disappointed either. This was the FYF X-mas party with No Age, La Sera, Soft Pack, Crystal Antlers... held at two different clubs on the same street, Glasshouse and Aladdins' Jr. I made it just in time for Dangers and the place was packed. Stuck around to watch Off!, La Sera and No Age before I had to leave, sorry no pics of Crystal Antlers or the super special secret guest...who I never did figure out who it was. No Age La Sera OFF! Dreams Deferred (Artists Respond to Immigration Reform)

I missed the opening reception last night at the Chinese American Musuem. So I decided to grab the kids and take them on a field trip to downtown Los Angeles this morning. My daughter loved Olvera st, well at least the churros they were serving at a stand by the entrance. Both kids enjoyed the museum and were very respectful by getting their dirty little hands all over them... I went in support of Eyeone, but there were other artists worth checking out. Cache, Shepard Fairey, Swank, Patrick Martinez, Tempt to name a few. The exhibit runs through May 22nd of next year and is FREE- so GO! Eyeone & LeHumanBeing Shepard Fairey Patrick Martinez
