New Brigade @ Programme Skate and Sound 5/23/14 It's been 5 months since NB last played... ask me it's been way too long. They are by far my favorite Straight Edge band (sorry Repel). Nice solid show with Disapproval, Fury, Pocketknife and Free At Last coming all the way out for Springfield Missouri. Nice guys too. Anti-Nowhere League @ Characters 5/20/14 A lot of people might know this about me but I was a metal-head first. But bands like Discharge, English Dogs and Broken Bones got me into punk. Which of course was a small skip and a step to HC.  So I do have a soft spot for the oldies like Anti-Nowhere League and Angelic Upstarts. I am also a big fan of the Riverboat Gamblers too... so I was thrilled that I got to see both. Dillinger Escape Plan @ Echoplex 4/24/14 I loved this show... Retox, Trash Talk and Dillinger Escape Plan at the Echolpex with NO barrier. It was nuts. I lost my camera bag, and almost got knocked out. I always have a fun time with these 3 bands and together is was just crazy. Godflesh @ Henry Fonda Theatre 4/22/14 If you don't know me, you might not know my deep rooted love for GODFLESH. 20+ years ago I went to see Godflesh and Skinny Puppy at the Hollywood Palladium, I am a Skinny Puppy fan but I was there for Godflesh. I was just as excited to see them this time around too. They were perfect. I know a lot of people don't like them because its noisey or that they use a drum machine... doesn't bother me one bit. Fun Fact - outside a Jesu concert years ago a girl was talking about how much she loves Justin and all his bands. I said something about Godflesh and she gave me the most disgusted face... "ugh I don't like them!"
